About The Desai Family Foundation:
The Desai Family Foundation (DFF), established in 1997, has multiple goals both in India and the United States of America (USA); it seeks to improve social and economic life in the villages of India, and to develop and implement educational programs to promote Indian culture and heritage in the United States. The overall mission of the foundation is to help the community in which we live, as well as the one we came from, by promoting better health and education.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The assignments cover fascinating fields that include research, project development and donor relations. This hands-on experience gives interns the chance to explore the non-profit sector, while learning responsibilities in fundraising, management, and entrepreneurial development from the Foundation.

• Prepare Foundation press releases, news articles for the website and newspaper publications.
• Research and develop future programs.
• Assist with coordination of Foundation events and fundraisers.
• Maintain and update Desai Family Foundation donations, given and/or received records, including schedules for deliverables.
• Research and document prospective donation sources including foundations, potential sponsors, grants, and other potential donors of cash, materials, and/or services.

Burlington, MA

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current college undergraduate  or graduate student
