Megha is the Director of the Desai Family Foundation. She is also the founder and principal of Marketing. Strategy. Dharma. (MSD), a brand development and marketing strategy firm based in New York City. Megha has experience in many areas of communications including advertising, integrated marketing, branded entertainment, and marketing strategy. After over a decade in the industry, Megha has developed expertise in brand development, product development, communications and content strategy, production and business development. Megha has worked at some of the most prestigious advertising and communications agencies in the world including Wieden+Kennedy NY, OgilvyEntertainment, Anomaly, BBH NY, and Fallon NY, shaping brands such as Unilever's Axe Deoderant Bodyspray, ING DIRECT, Coca-Cola products, Miller Lite, Yahoo!, and HP.
Along side her professional career, Megha has been devoted to public service, as exemplified by her many projects throughout the years. As a member of the Steering Committee of South Asians for Kerry in 2004 she registered hundreds of voters and brought the concerns of her community to the politicians. Megha currently seres as the Senior Marketing Advisory at The American Democracy Institute helping to inspire other young professionals to get involved in public service. Megha also continues her work with Columbia Community Impact, an umbrella organization at Columbia University which develops and executes community development programs in the Morningside Heights area in New York City. Megha has worked with several non-profits over the years and plans to continue her work in social enterprise as she moves forward with MSD. She also fulfills her passion for the arts by studying Indian classical voice and soaking in all the visual and preforming arts New York has to offer.
Megha holds a B.A. in Economics from Barnard College of Columbia University in the City of New York, and has been awarded several prestigious advertising awards for her work over the past many years.
